Fire at Home Port marina in Palm Harbour?

I just had a call from marina stating there had been a boat fire at the marina, that has leeft soot in the surrounding areas. Anyone here know which dock the fire was on? I'm in C27.:huh:

Holy crap!!! That is my 340 right beside it in the picture. Guess a trip to Florida from Canada is coming up.

Glad your boat did not catch. Hope all is well... wow hats off to the fire dept... glad the marina called and told you about it.
 
Thanks Jason, and yes hats off to fire department. In September 2011 a tornado ripped through and took the roof off Dock B, with some debris landing on my boat, but no damage done thankfully. That time the marina didn't call, I freaked out when I read on this site that a tornado had gone through Palm Harbour!
 
Terry, I hope your boat is not damaged, I saw it in the photos and thought, "I hope thats not his 340 several slips down".
 
We are on dock D, that is where the roof was ripped off from last summer, the boat was in slip C15, it was the old boat that was full of mildew & had a bunch of damage last summer when the roof from our dock landed on it & busted up the bow rail & canvas, Bill Shiffner's Sea Ray & one other had minor damage from the heat, but nothing serious. I have pictures if you want them, just send me your e-mail & I will forward. The boat burned to the water line & sunk, has been removed & is currently in Tarpon Yacht Services yard out of the water. We have been there two years & never saw the boat move, yet witnesses saw the owner removing flat screen TV's & other items on Sunday, Fire 5 AM Wednesday, we left Tuesday for home. If you need any more info, just let me know.

Yes, It sure seems that way, don't know if the fuel would have even burned as I understand it is likely at least 4 years old, just not personal knowledge. I also read on the net it was up for forclosure, just can't confirm.
 
Hi Mike, thanks for the update. Could you send me the pictures at terry.partis@raymondjames.ca.

Any chance you could walk over and take a look at my boat to see if I need to send in a cleaner? I have left couple messages for Bill S, who watches over my boat while I'm gone, but haven't heard back from him yet. Name of my boat is Dogonit.

Terry, Sent you pics & will be glad to check the boat, won't be there till Sat late afternoon but will advise as soon as I know. If I hear from anyone down there I will ask to check sooner & let you know.
