Wife and I was in St.Louis at the time, we are ok.

Thats what counts ,boats are cheap compared to lives.

Wow, glad everyone is ok. That looks pretty nasty.

I don’t recall how many homes were destroyed but our street was hit the worst. All the homes on one side of the street destroyed except one. Found my bass boat ½ mi away and the trailer wrapped around a tree. Most people were away visiting Thank God, no casualties!

Glad no injuries-Mother nature can be tough at times.....Luck going forward...

I feel your pain - for the loss of material things.

I share your joy - for being far away when it hit.

EF-3 hit on Good Friday, April 10, 2009 - back better than ever now!

I will NEVER pay as much in insurance premiums as they did to fix the house and boathouse. :)

Smilemaker, That looks like a very nice place (I am thinking of it without the damage) That would be cool right on the lake like that.

Thank you, it is our family weekend retreat. I plan on starting the weekend a little early since it is getting up into the 80's! :smt001

Good to see you removed all of those shallow rooted trees. Nice set up!

Just keep your eyes on craigslist. You'd be amazed what you can find. Just take heart you and your family can enjoy another boat when you do get one. Hate to see the damage. You could also sell the parts off the old one. Pm me if that's an idea.
