Finally succumbed to a dinghy pulley:)

Great idea. I too am having issues dragging my dingy back on to the swim platform. Can handle it great in the morning but it's a bear getting it back on board at the end of the day. Thanks for the idea. :smt001

You're very welcome! It truly is a great idea (can't claim it as ours) and it takes the work and hassle out of bringing the dinghy back on board. Think we will get a bigger outboard when we get it all cobbled together, couldn't lift a bigger engine before:) Will post pics when we get it all finished off.

Thanks GFC! That's exactly what we do, if it suits us we do it:) BTW when not used for the dinghy there's so many other things it will be useful for too, namely hanging the bug zapper from:)

Or apparently hanging your husband from if he gets mouthy

LOL, now there's an idea, trouble is I couldn't lift him up to put him on it.....Could perhaps hoist him up with the pulley though:)

Finally have everything installed including a much bigger O/B :

You just need to practice lining the dinghy up on the davits but it's much easier than before.

I have a similar set up. But I have pulley installed inside my aft hatch.

Thx! In all fairness we found the amount of rope we needed was quite a bit less than we originally were told and bought. Plus, I had to use two hands to pull it up......will need to eat more, that's my excuse:)
