Finally.. some pictures - full interior refit

Absolutely amazing! Love the hardwood flooring on the cabin sole. Did you have to do any structural work to the stringers/bulkheads as well or just the interior and bilge?

I would love to deep six the black carpet in my Seadancer for hardwood. Carpet just makes it harder to keep clean in my opinion.

Looks nice. Good job.

She didn't need any structural work (thankfully!) so no work on stringers or bulkheads.

I used Teak and Holly plywood for the flooring. Lots of careful templating and a good spiral router bit to cut the angles. I made the templates on the boat then took them home and cut the flooring and trim in the garage. I used Penofin (5 coats - rubbed in between) for the finish on the sole then screwed it down with brass screws. Doing that small area of sole was probably one of the most challenging woodworking projects; but I am really pleased with how it came out.

WOW very nice!!! I'm just tearing into my interior now. Started by stripping and varnishing all the interior wood. Can I ask what LED lights you used in the headliner?

Always nice when you have a sound hull to start with! I also like the lower helm. What kind of speed do you get with the perkins diesels?

Incredible work! I bet you're not regretting converting the awkward twin berth setup either.

One thing struck me though: how did you come across a Norcold DE-4/561? I had mine repaired years ago, and even then the parts were getting hard to come by.

Very impressive transformation! You are lucky that your wife is into the Reno as much as you are! When I go down to the marina to work on my boat my phone usually starts ringing in about an hour asking when am I coming home!

Incredible job. What a great roomy boat!
I'd love to hear about those Perkins. My dad had a 1970 35' Chris Craft with twin Perkins 170hp diesels - you don't see too many boats with Perkins. Was this a repower or are they original? How many hours? Did they need any rehab?
THANKS AND GREAT WORK!!
