My shrink-wrap pulled the screws for my canvas support out. Any advice on the best way to repair this? Should I re-attached with larger screws, or should I repot the holes with something and re-drill new holes? What would I repot with?
Thanks

I'd be tempted to use MarineTex. I believe you can get it in white. Clean out the holes with acetone first and overfill with the MarineTex then dress up with a Dremel before drilling and reattaching. I'd be tempted to go up one screw size for added insurance.

I would add a backing plate on inside of tower. It will pull out again, alot of stress is put on that bracket by the canvas alone.

Try the next size up screw - if it bites really well, done. You may have to drill out the hole in the fitting a bit, though. If the next size screw doesn't work, clean and fill the hole - epoxy, PC-11, MT.

In the future, better support the bimini frame or just lower it.

I have used epoxy with a toothpick or 2 set in the hole. Reinstalled the screw after the epoxy begins to set.

If you use a counter sink in the holes you will increase the surface area for the repair. Go get a fiberglass repair kit separate fibers in glass cloth cut them up with a razor blade into small pieces mix it into the glass resin in the kit into a putty. Wet out the hole with some of the resin without glass in it then fill the hole with the putty. When it kicks off and cured drill holes and for a little extra holding power bed the screws and the back of the plate with some 5200. The 5200 this dampens the vibration that works on the fiberglass that wears out the holes. While your at it do the other mount with 5200 to the other side. Being that its a small mount if you ever have to remove it a sharpened putty knife will slide under the mount to remove it.
