I have been gone from the site most of the summer. This is the first time on the new site. Looks like I reconize a few of the names. Anyway, I bought my 92 29 Sundancer at the end of last season so this was my first summer with the boat. Also my first sea ray. Well, it was worth the wait. I cant say enough about how the boat handled and prefored all summer. We were comming from a 2000 25 walk around pro-line so this was a big jump for us. My wife never had so much fun on the water, which ment I had a lot of fun on the water. I only did a few minor repairs.

1. bypassed the water intake from the outdrive to a through hull fitting. The intake that went through the outdrive and then trough the transom had disingrated at the transom, and I would have had to pull the motor. $$$ I think it was from lack of zinks. This way I actualy get more water flow to cool the fresh water cooled 7.4 Big Block. The boat ran at 190 the first month or so and I could not figure out what the problem was. The hose that went from the out drive to the water pump was kiked from disingration. After we bypassed it the temp fell to 165 and has not mooved since.
I also replaced the gps and radar, installed 2 rod holders, and replaced the power steering pump. All in all a great season and look forward to next spring.

Great to hear. Glad you're back and with good news. I didn't know you could bypass that, but it makes sense. What did you have to do to plug the hole?

Welcome back aboard and congratulations on the new to you Boat!

My boat is a i/o. So the water that would normaly come throught the outdrive and into the waterpump now gets re-circulated back to the ocean.
