TurtleTone (Mike) made an inferrence earlier that he was maybe embarrased about his "Cute Little Dinghy".

Well I am in Roche Harbor, WA and if you have a "Little Dinghy" imagine what my Brother and I(he's aboard a 19' SeaRay Seville, with his GF and 2 kids, and I'm on my 260DA) amoungst these guys.

Here you can see I'm the longest on this row

Still enjoying boating though....that's what it's all about.

:smt043:thumbsup: Very cute.

Todd, I know the feeling when we took our 175BR to Ft. Lauderdale FL cruising the "American Venice". Few years later, we took our 240DA there, the feeling didn't change that much, even though for us 240 felt like a big boat (at that time). Like you said, being out there, boating...that's what it's all about.

Alex.

Todd,

You are looking at it all wrong, go to the fuel dock and then you will see why the smaller boats are so much better.

Could you please "HIGHLIGHT" your boat in this pic???

Not me! Mines the perfect size for the 300DA. Large cupholder and bimini top too!

My dingy does 0-50 in 2.9 seconds and tops out at 70. Hardly inadequate.

... until the 300 hp ones come out next year.

No I have that for sure. I fueled up at the pump before I left for $3.92/gal. Better than the $5.00 still at the gas dock.

The tiny one in the center. I can't highlight it.

Don't feel bad, the guy behind you isn't filling the slip either.

We had a similar experience in Key West. Back in Tampa we have a reasonably sized boat at 42.5' LOA. We got down to the keys and did a few laps in our assigned slip. Our bow lines and springs were just barely long enough and we were in the shade for a few days because of all the skyscraper yachts around us! The next size up from ours was about 70'. At first we felt like Jed and Ellie just showed up, but all the other boaters (true yachtsmen - all with captains and crew) treated us like we were royalty. Great fun.

Yeah it's like being in a tent at the Park with the Giant Rock Star tour Bus RV next to you.

When we go out with our military crowd, we have one of the biggest, best boats by far. When we hang out with our civilian crowd, we're middle of the road. When we travel to nice destinations, we look like we're in a dinghy.

PS - Many of our military friends are moving up in the boating world, and, they hang out with us in the civilian crowd when they do.
