Does anyone out there know anything about "Cruisers Yachts?" We looked at one this past weekend at a local boat show ~ very nice ~ but, just haven't really seen many or heard a lot about them.....would sure appreciate any feedback from any of you who know anything about these boats! Thanks!

Size for size, they appear to be wider than Sea Rays or Rinkers. There's a couple at our lake... good looking boats.

Nice looking boats but not quite the fit and finish I have come to expect. Somewhere in between a Four Winns and Sea Ray in my opinion. I have been on quite a few of these boat (i dock at Skipper Buds Marina Del isle and they always have these in the water right behind my boat) and the thing that always get me is the creaking floors in the cockpit.

a dock friend has one (2007 i believe) and it appears to be well made and well appointed with quality materials.....his boat is about the same size as mine but it is little wider because it dose not have side decks....access to the front deck is through the windshield as is common on smaller boats....

I think they're good boats and have been on many of them. I think they're a notch down on quality when compared to the SR but still very good. Also, it seems that in our area they're originally ordered with VERY light electronics as compared to most SR's. I do like the layout of the 54 with it's mid-cabin master better than SR's 50/52 with fore-peak master and bunk beds. Another thing I've always noticed was that the Cruisers' hull sides below the rub-rail seem to bow out as opposed to the SR's concave hull sides. This may contribute to better interior volume but it also makes them look a little 'balloony'.

A dockmate of mine has had 3 of them and has loved them all. never seen a structural issue on them. He puts over 100 hours a year and I am sure he would buy another. I like them.

A friend of mine has a 35 - we call it "The Pie". We can see him coming a long ways away because it throws a bow wave further than any other boat of that size. It's a dry ride though, and the hull is efficient.

My previous boat was a 340 dancer. Before buying it I looked at a couple of Cruisers. Just seemed like the finish out on the ones I saw were not as nice as the Sea Rays. I am sure they are good boats, lot of them out there. I felt like it was a Ford vs Lincoln - I preferred the layouts and finish of the Sea Rays.

Just my 2 cents,

Mark

We cross-shopped the Cruisers against our current 400DA and I felt the 3870 was a little underpowered with the gas engines. And it cruised really bow-high for some reason. Once we bumped up to the 4270 with the Volvos then it seemed like the right combination, but not the boat we were looking for. Overall they both felt "lighter" than the Sea Ray in heavy seas. It's hard to explain, but I felt like there were a lot more creaks and rattles when we'd hit waves.

My son worked for the Cruisers dealer years ago. There is a difference in quality, Things like bow rails were obviously lesser grade materials, vinyl in cockpit not as sturdy as Sea Ray. There was certainly a reason they are less expensive. I personally have never been a fan of the styling. That being said, we also have friends that have had them, they all enjoyed them, they floated and got to play on the water, just like we do.

We purchased a 1997 Cruisers Yachts 3375 this past spring and we love it. I originally wanted a 340 or 370 Sea Ray but the lack of a walk through windshield was a deal breaker for the admiral. That said, we are thrilled with the Cruisers. It is a solid boat. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

i have no actual experience up close but they look like a nice boat.

side note, my wife and I absolutely HATE a center windshield bow access. how do you get to the center cleat for a spring line? thats the one we use first and release last.

A friend of mine has a 40ft with a hardtop. Nice boat and he likes it. It has the Volvo pods for drive system. Also I believe all large Cruisers Yachts have a cored hull below the water line. Something to think about.

We looked at a 3370 but did.not like the access to.the motors. If you need full.access you habe to remove almost everything to open it up vs SR...just press a button.
