For those of you with federally registered vessels how have you renewed your documents this year. I see there is a pay.gov option to pay, but not sure if I need to send in the document that was mailed to me as well. As we all know anything associated with the federal government is as clear as mud

Got the renewal form in the mail. Filled it out and mailed it in with a check. Received the new document shortly thereafter.

My document renewal did not come in the mail.

I went online - used the pay.gov option and got a receipt which emailed to me. I followed up with a call to the document processing center, they were able to see my receipt, confirm that payment was made, documentation showed up in the mail about 3 weeks later. Sorry I don't remember the exact steps, had to navigate through some different options.

Was told by the document processing center that online payment is only available if you are not making any changes. It worked, but just took some time.

I used pay.gov with no problems. I don't think I sent anything in, it was all online. Mark is right - you can't be making changes to use the online option. My documents came quick, only about a week later if I remember correctly.

Just renewed my documented vessel last week with the new spanky $26.00 bucks they are screwing us out of. I filled it out with my cc info, faxed it off and 5 days later had my new doc's in my mailbox...

I did mine too. DAMN lot cheaper than paying state registration. Don't b*tch, it could be worse!
