Faux Teak

I had the guys at TTCustom (http://www.ttcustommarine.com/) make my template and pad. I installed it on sunny day warm day...and a few adult drinks! The guys there are great and they are local to me so they answered all my questions and phone calls. I am sure they will do the same for anyone who calls them. It can get a little hot to the touch on the hot southern days but that is what the water is for.....:smt038

I also created a mat style in placed it in the head. I wanted to be able to remove and clean it. Now, I am thinking about replacing the carpet in the bottom section of the cabin where water likes to collect when we are playing in the water and come in wet. Also the cabin steps

Congrats! Looks great! We installed PlasDECK ourselves too. We found the caulking more time consuming to do than laying the actual deck:) We're really pleased with it and found ttcustommarine VERY helpful. Like you say, it gets a tad warm in the sun but that's what flip flops and water's for:)

I also used PlasDECK with TT Customer Marine. Great service! Wow..... and it seemed to be the most cost efficient. Took me about 30 minutes or possibly less to attach our 280 swim platform. (I can't believe how accurate the tolerances were and how well it fit). I would recommend Travis any day of the week.

Thanks,
Mike

Has anyone installed this on a smaller boat? I'm wondering what this would look like on my 190 swim platform.
I cant determine if I think it would look good or look cluttered, its pretty small. I wouldnt mind getting the add on swim platform if there was a way to make it one level surface instead of tiered.

Brit thanks and this fall when I change out the cabin carpet for teak I am planning on a video of the install.

Running, I would contact ttcustom or other vendors to see if they have a template for your boat. If they do then that means they should have pictures of a prior install. Asked them to send the pictures to you and that should give you an idea. Another method is to have them come out with samples and then that may give you some indication of what it would look like. This look is really a throw back look of when boats where built out of wood. There were smaller boats than yours that were built from teak and I am betting it would look great.

TT Custom Marine just did my boat yesterday up here in NY . It came out great. The installers were top notch !
