That's not good at all. His antenna wasn't even straight. That's like getting into a car accident and having your underwear be dirty.

That really sucks. Pass along the condolences to your neighbor.

Do you know what happened?

Lord, that's awful! Do you/he have any idea what happened? Stuffing box, through hull, cooling hose, heat exchanger................... I guess it could be any of those and more if the engines were removed and reinstalled.

Mine's still on the hard under repair, unfortunately.

Cheers,

That is so sad.

Depending on the severity of the accident, your underware will likely get dirty all on their own.

wow...that sucks. I just put my boat back in the water on Friday after the shafts, struts and props were repaired / replaced and I was worried about this exact thing all weekend. Glad to report that all of the water stayed on the outside.

Tell your neighbor we're sorry about his boat. Is it salt water or fresh?

that sucks ! :s
I don't know why .... but this weekend was horrible for me... every time I try to go to the boat something happened...... and does not let me go.. finally I spend a safety weekend at home :)

as soon as you know what was the problem let us know! I guess we all have the same problem to be afraid of!

the antenna thing, well they are such aggies.. you can see the OSU flag still above water..

that's the usual color of our water so your underwear isnt gonna matter..

it happened sometime after 4:30 am (don't ask how I know) and 7:30 a.m. So it went fairly quick..

and it's in fresh water.

I talked to him and his wife about 8:30 that morning.. hate to see crying like that.. but his wife was holding up pretty well. oh yeah.. he had just redone all the teak as well.

Makes me want to go check my boat. Guy at work sunk his older carver new to him at the dock two years ago. Never did here what happened to him.
