Has anyone ever installed a faria fuel flow manager on there 7.4 m.p.i. Engine?
How well do the work?

Thanks

When I looked into meters, Faria wasn't in the running for me because they weren't NMEA compatible. The integration into my MFD reduces cost (no extra display) and adds important functionality (economy calculations from GPS data). I wouldn't have bothered with a stand-alone unit, but I don't know what Faria offers currently.

I have installed a Navman unit a few years back and have been very happy with it for the most part. Now, I had a display problem with it and during my process of fixing it, I found Navman is no longer around as someone bought them and changed or eliminated this unit. I fixed my display and during this process I found that my transducer/fuel flow sensor was used on the Faria's unit. Mine hooks up to my GPS BUT the Faria that was demo'ed to me at the Defender warehouse sale does not. So what that means is you will not get the miles/gallon feature only the gallons per hour. MPG is a nice feature. I would hold out for a unit that ties into your GPS.
