Has anyone done this trip before?

I'm hoping it will be an easy trip; but I just thought I'd check with any of you. I have a 2009 Sea Ray 270 SLX.

Heading over tomorrow morning, so any replies tonight would be greatly appreciated. It looks like it'll be flat waters until I hit the open ocean, past Cuttyhunk... then noaa.gov is predicting 3 footers. What I'm wondering is if that means 3 footers breaking on shore.. or 3 footers offshore?

I'm planning on heading down and then cutting into Buzzard's Bay via Quick's Hole (more direct and I can avoid the Woods Hole Passage traffic).

Anyway, any tips, etc. let me know.

From what I remember, I used to surf on the east coast and paid attention to the marine forecasts. I didn't want to go to a spot without wave action. 3 footers meant 3 foot swells on the open ocean.
