Fallriver to Falmouth

Sure, been all over that area. What do you need?

I am thinking of driving my 1983 searay 260 sundancer from Borden light marina in Fallriver to Falmouth heights.
I do not know the Fallriver area and could use some help with navigation and fuel usage and time.
This will be my first long trip and my first trip with this vessel. I bought it needing an engine and that will be done in the next couple of weeks.
All replies welcome.

This is of course an older boat. If it has been out of service or has questionable mechanical problems then I would be reluctant to make such a trip even though it's it's only 1 1/2 to 2 hours. If Falmouth is your home destination then see what it would cost to trailer it home and get comfortable with the boat closer to home. If you have reason to be confident with the boat have a good chartplotter, paper maps and a working compass. Then pick a day with a good forecast and leave early in the morning to avoid the South West winds in Buzzards Bay. Also try to have an experienced friend come along. Good luck.
