I had this same boat. trade in towards what? New or used? What size and year? All that matters, I just traded this past November but we would need more info

I don't have any info on your trade, but to me the price on the 310 sounds very high - by at least 1/3.

Or, how deep is the ocean?

What a dealer will allow you on trade for your boat depends upon 4 things…….

1. if he will even consider taking a 17 year old boat on trade
2. the loan value on your boat
3. how much he has in the boat you want to trade for
4. how bad he really wants to sell his boat.

Note that none of the above has a thing to do with the real value of your trade-in. The only way to do this that makes any financial sense is to sell your boat to a willing buyer for cash then go negotiate a cash deal on the boat you want to buy.

So, does that mean if you were selling yours, your asking price would be around $35K or less?

No, but I wouldn't expect to get much more than that for it. Asking price inflation is normal, but that just seemed very high. Maybe the market has shifted more than I realized, though.
