Factory Stereo Amp Location

Just purchased a 2001 Sea Ray 380 Sundancer. I'm in love with my new boat...and restoring it to its former glory....BUT: I just put in a new Fusion 755 radio replacing the clarion system. I know there's an amp somewhere one this boat, but for the love of God, I can't seem to find it. Anyone know where the factory installed location of the Amp would be???

Not positive on your boat, but on mine I have two amps behind the sofa backrest, under where the stereo is mounted. The backrest pops off with a little gentle encouragement. I use a auto trim tool.

Welcome to the site! Check out the 380 thread lots of good reads in there. Sea Ray mounted the stock amps behind the right side backrest salon sofa. The lower seating part slides out then the backrest has three nuts/bolts that remove up high on the backrest - then it just lift up and out. Again welcome to the site!!

Wow!!!! Who knew?? OK, my back rest is bolted down pretty well, but I'll take a look and let you know what I find!!! I appreciate the diagram and advice from you all...I'll let you know what I find!
