Greetings,

I have a 2016 19 SPXOB with the raymarine a67 factory option. I was surprised to see that when they replace the factory speedo with this unit they do not set up a nmea 2000 backbone and interface with outboard for engine and fuel data. Anyone have experience setting this up? Or should I take it up with sea ray that it should have been done in the first place? Thanks for your help!

I would take it up with your dealer first, then sea ray ( not that sea ray will be any help at first but kept after them) if you get the Usual answer from your dealer. I have the same set up except on an stern drive , only does about half of what I was originally told it was could do. Btw do you have the Puc transducer or one mounted on the Stern?

Mine has the airmar p58 stern mounted transducer. I'd really like to know my engine vitals and fuel burn info, from what I've researched it will cost me nearly 500 in parts to set this up building a backbone and buying a interface module for the outboard....

I have the same as well. I asked my dealer 3 different times about it and all I got was "we'll look into it" but I never heard it. If you find out what needs to be done please post it because I would like to do the same to my boat.

I know what it will take basically, however I believe it should have been done already since it was a factory option. I submitted an inquiry with sea ray I will update what they say.

Great thanks.

Here's what sea ray had to say :( this information should be,given to dealers who say otherwise!
For the 19spxo the engine /fuel data gateway is not a option and is not installed from the factory and that would be the reason that you do not see the NMEA 2000 Backbone /Gateway installed . The transducer should display on your chartplotter . The gauges are analog so no NMEA information is at the dash area . If you wish to add this feature it would have to be a customer added feature and dash configuration would have to change ( different engine harness and different Gauges ) . The current configuration does not allow the engine/ fuel to be displayed at the chartplotter .

Those items would work as that is how I got the information to my MFD before I had The VV7 on my 340da but they would have needed to pre wire the smartcraft harness up to the helm in order for that to work. If you still have the contact info for the product support ask them if the boats are wired with a smartcraft engine harness.
