I am in the process of changing out my snap down carpet runners in my '02 280DA. I located Greatlakes who currently does all of the fabric for Sea Ray and can send me a brand new set. So, I call customer service and I give them my hull ID # and then she says she can't help because my boat was built in Arizona and Westland made the fabric for Sea Ray during that era. She then proceeded to tell me that they have bought out Westland so Westland no longer does business for Sea Ray and all of their templates, deminsions, etc.. were ruined.

My thought is that the '02 - current 280DA's have not changed and the dimensions are probably the same but she could not guarntee an exact fit. I'm considering making the purchase and make the small adjustments if need be.

Any throughts or knowledge of the demisions of the '02 vs current 280DA?

I would just try a local canvas shop. They can make them for you.

I did consider that but for $100 for the whole set and not having to worry about trailering the boat to a destination, as my area is starving for marine resources, I thought this would be the best deal since they already have the template (I thought)

You should be able to send them your old runners to use as templates. I would not have them install the snaps though. Do that yourself once you get the new ones made and back on the boat. This will make for the best fit.

That's the problem, I don't have some of them!

Make your own templates in the shape(s) you want out of either cardboard or construction paper. Take them to your local vendor get them made including the piping on the edges, then put your snaps on yourself. Some vendors may even come to your boat free of charge.

What Todd said

The beauty of the runners vs. recarpeting/new canvas etc. is that if it doesn't fit exactly perfect, it will still look it as they originally didn't go wall to wall anyway.
