I have an '07 44DB. I bought her new and bought the "captains Package" extended warranty I believe. At any rate it was marketed as everything but the electronics. My question is this. Should the fresh water pressure pump and the pickup tube from the freshwater tank be covered under that warranty? I had it replaced by a local guy rather than the dealer and don't know if I have any recourse this time. Just wondering about next time. BTW, the pump was leaking and the pickup tube had a crack in it. The pump would start cavitating when the water level dropped to about 3/4 tank giving the indication that the tank was running empty.
Thanks for your guidance,

If the warranty is one offered by a Brunswick owned company, I believe they make it kind of hard to get reimbursement if you use a non-certified technician. The safest course of action is to use your local Sea Ray dealer because they know how to dance with the warranty guys both at Sea Ray and Brunswick. Sometimes just knowing how the system works makes it a lot easier to get a claim covered.
