Does anyone have suggestions on where I can find an extended swim platform for my 280 Sun Sport? I have a quote from swim platforms.com. They make a great product, but I am looking for other sources as well.

I got mine from swimplatforms.com. The price is high but the product is very high quality and looks factory. It is the best addition to the boat yet and I have did a lot (including a new interior).

Might check flounder pounder, they've carried sea ray platforms in the past. If you want a local to Monroe area source, you might try Jim Tiefel from Marine Tech. He could probably track one down for you.

DITTO!!! Great service and well packed too. MM

I have 2000 280SS and just had one from swimplatforms.com installed. This platform looks better than a factory installed one. It was expensive but worth every penny.

Unfortunately I just got it put on in September and did not take any pictures before it was wrapped for the winter. If he goes to swimplatforms.com there are a bunch of pictures of the 280 sunsport with the platform on. This is one of the platforms that they do not need you to make and send a template for. They have a mold that is custom fitted for that model.

I have seen the pics on the company website. It is a very nice product, no question. Just can't get past the price...

Took me three years to get past the price but I finally gave in.

I spent 17% of the initial cost of my boat when I put a swimplatforms platform on it. IMO it was still well worth it.

have any milestones coming up? I was having a milestone birthday, that I refused to recognize, so when my wife and family started bugging me about what to get me I had them all chip in for the platform. Who needs another watch anyway? :smt001

My SS came with the extended platform, but I could not imagine being without it. At a raft up, we spend most of the day on the back of the boat.

Easy for you to say... Your boat is the first year Sea Ray put all the "options" standard on the SS.
