Even if your gas boat is newer and has ignition protected systems, it's still a good idea to get down in the bilge and check for gas vapors.

So, what, gas vapors built up inside the bow cabin (which exploded) from other nearby boats being fueled? Even running your blowers wouldn't prevent that. How do you prevent such a thing? Scary.
