Hi there!
I have a new boat for me! With Bravo 3 drive and my question is!
Should the cooling water exit in the middle of the props or is it supposed to flush between the lower gearcase and stern of the boats drive parts?( do not know the name of theese parts!

with B3 i believe it is both places.

It comes out the lower portion of the gimble ring, not the lower unit. The gimble ring is the part on the back of the boat that the lower unit attatches to and swivels from. BIII does not come out the props. Hope that all makes sense.

I just went through this with our bellows replacement. The exhaust gases exit the transom through the gimbal ring. There is a large rubber collar attached to the exterior of the gimbal ring. This mates with the lower unit (or leg), and when the drive is trimmed down the exhaust gases flow down through the drive and exit via props. When the drive is trimmed up all the way (aka 'trailer' setting), the two parts do not mate and the gases exhaust at the transom. This set up removes the need to have a flexible connection that will withstand exhaust gas temperatures.

Thank you very much for the response!
Now i will gladly splash my boat in the baltic sea on monday next week, because this was my last obstacle after buying a boat from Rhode Island USA and putting it in the Swedish Archipelago!

I would just like to tell you all that the price for gas in Sweden is now over 2,20/liter(that makes 8,50/us gallon) and all spare part prices is about 70% more expensive!

I am not complaining because you just have to think boat dollar all the time!

I wish you all a good boating season and hopefully a good cooperation regarding problem solution in the future!

Best regards

I guess the only time I have seen my exhaust is when the lower unit is up a little. With it on the trailer I never can get it all the way down so I never noticed the maiting portion. Makes sense though.
