So this spring I purchased a center console to keep in Florida. I bought a 21 Dusky sight unseen with a 150 Honda. The survey was great as was the engine inspection. I keep the boat on a lift behind the kids house in Bradenton and this weekend I finally get to meet her. We fly down tomorrow morning and fly back Monday evening. The kids and grandkids have had a great summer on her so far and I've loved the pics, but I honestly can't wait to get onboard and explore the area.
The Admiral and I have agreed we will move there full time in about ten years, but before now, we've rented a boat down there or towed our CC (sold last year) there once a year. The plan is we will fly down 4-5 times a year and have the boat ready when we get there. I may have it brought up here in the spring for fishing then send it back down for summer though soring. In FL. The kid has done an awesome job so far (that was my biggest concern) and even added electronics and had the boat professionally rewired. Grouper fishing Friday and cruising the bay Saturday because the Admiral wants to see the skyway from the water.
Oh! The best part was the call from my grandson telling me he was so excited to take me out on his boat. Wish us luck. We're taking on a new adventure!

Now that is, exciting! Of course pics are expected, you know the rules. Have fun.
 
Awesome. I hope to retire within the next 3 years maybe 4 and plan to buy a place on the gulf side and pick up a 24 to 26 ft CC to spend winters tinkering with and fishing/touring between golf games. Post some pictures of the boat and the places you see. I am still not sure what place to buy in. I want a canal home and have rented/stayed in Naples, Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte and visited the Venice area. Pro's and cons to all. I want to keep the US cost between $500 and $600K so limits things a bit unless the CAD$ appreciates a bit more.
 
That is awesome. I’m from Sou Fl originally but have been in Illinois last 17 years. Have lots of family in the Treasure Coast. Was there last weekend and heading back next weekend. Moving back as soon as my last graduates HS year after next.

Wondering how my lil searay will do in the salt. I don’t fish but all you see are open fisherman center console w outboards.

Grew up on Makos but buddy had a 25 Dusky w twin 115’s. Caught my first sail on that boat. We’d go out in 4-6 and would pass by all other boats heading out of the inlet.

Great boat.
 
I had a 25’ Dusky with a single 225 and it was an absolute beast in the snot. It wasn’t fast, but it handled seas like a boat twice it’s size. I kick myself all the time for selling that boat.
