Just boughta1988 270da. been climbing thru it checking everything out. one question i have is that i can not get the dash lights to come on. i have turned on every switch i could find but no luck. i have tried with the engines running, and also tried looking for a fuse panel, but i have not found on yet. any suggestions? thanks for the input. :huh:

Might be a loose grund wire or connector back behind the dash. Not sure about 270's, but I get easy access to the back of my dash by removing the mirror in the head.
Take a flashlight and look around back there.

My dash lights used to come on when I turned on the navigation lights.

mine come on only with the engine running and nav lites on

Mine come on with Nav lights on there is also a dimmer switch on mine that had to be replaced.

Thanks everyone for the help. I guess I didnt hit the right combination of switchs to make the dash lights work. On to the next project, POWER WINDLASS!!!
