ever lost a jet-ski while towing behind your boat

I wanted to follow-up and give some feedback on my experience of towing our 2006 Sea Doo Wake Edition jet ski behind our 2004 390 MY. We had a bridel made with a tow line that was 100 feet from the boat. The bridel was connected to the cleats on the stern. When we got to a harbour or anchorage my son would jump on jet ski and drive it so we did not have to deal with it while in close quarters. We towed it about 325 miles in a variety of conditions from dead calm to high winds in a following sea. So - What did I learn:
1. I think 100 feet for our current boat is to far back. From time to time the ski was in a trough so I am going to shorten the line 30 feet.
2. I used 4,000 lbs test floating line, which is great but I also used a steel ring on the bridel and a steel clip to attach to the ski. The steel clips make the line sink so I added some floatation near the steel ring so it would float - I cut cut some pool noodle and used that.
3. I think a jet ski is the perfect thing to tow - it does get wet but that is not a concern as ski's are designed to get wet. We did not notice any water in the ski from being towed.
4. We did have the cut off valve installed - and stored the key in the aft of the jet ski when the valve was closed. That way knew the valve was closed. The the valve was open we put the key in the forward hatch.
5.We met lots of people who also towed ski's and I asked a few if they ever had any problems and non said they did.
6. We towed at max 25 mph.

The attached pic was taken through the plastic window and at the end of our trip
