So I've spent the entire off-season removing the old glued down carpet from my deck in favor of Eva foam flooring (I plan on going with Gatorstep). I'm almost done with my template however I have a question regarding the foam padding and the back2back seat boxes. Right now I have both back2back seats removed so I can create my template. I'm not sure if I should (A) reinstall the seats over the template and draw around the seatboxes so that the foam flooring lays around the entire seat box and so that the seatboxes are bolted directly into the deck- or (B) turn in the template as is and have the entire floor covered with the foam padding and reinstall the seatboxes over the padding. I'd like the floor of the storage area inside of the seatboxes to be lined with foam padding as well- so I'd have to reinstall the seatboxes, draw around the outside of the box as well as inside the box if I went with choice A.

I'd go with option 'A' then buy a small sheet of the material and cut out an insert. Then don't stick the insert down, rather just lay it in there. That way you can remove it for cleaning.

Go with option A absolutely. As bobeast mentions. Gives option to clean. BTW, what material are you using for the template? Looking at doing our 450DA at some stage.

I had actually contacted Gatorstep via email and they sent me a template kit for my boat.
