If you live in one of these states you should seriously consider writing these guys! If you think 10% ethanol was bad for boats and marine environments, just watch what will happen when it becomes 15% !! :smt013

Governors request blending increase
AgNews for America
16 July 2009
As the Environmental Protection Agency considers change to federal rules, a group of Midwestern governors made a formal request to the administrator of EPA, asking that ethanol blending levels be increased to 15 percent.
Currently, alcohol-gasoline is limited at 10 percent by volume in unleaded gasoline.
The request states that allowing greater blending levels will increase demand for conventional ethanol, an entirely domestic energy source. The 2007 renewable fuel standard (RFS) sets national goals for the amount of biofuels used in the country. Without increasing the blending levels, the request explains, it will be difficult to the meet this standard.
Governors signing off on the letter include:
-South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds
-Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn
-Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels
-Iowa Gov. Chester J. Culver
-Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle
-Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson
-Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty
-North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven,
-Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland
-Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm
