Has anyone experienced this? Just began flashing LO AC. I checked the strainer and the water pump flow is going. Low Freon?

Are the coils frozen? Lo typically means low freon

When I bought my 2006 44DB the surveyor missed the fact that the salon AC was not cooling. We were receiving the fault code of Lo/AC as I recall. I charged the system but within a few minutes the unit would fail and lose pressure. Turned out I had a rotted out heat exchanger coil. I called Mike Potter at Noah's Arch and he sold me a dealer floor model Dometic Elite running the new 415 coolant. Bolted right in. The local Marine A/C guy estimated around $4500 to trouble shoot and replace the unit. With Mikes council and good deal on a unit, I did it myself for around $1700. Mike also sold me a used serviceable coil to repair my original which I plan to install on the bridge one day. Hope that helps.

If I'm remembering correctly, Lo AC on my unit means the power has dropped to 105 volts or lower. The cruisair shuts itself off because running it at the lower voltage can damage it. This usually happens when there are many boats on the same dock trying to run air conditioning or at a dock with old wiring.

My memory could be failing me, but I don't think it means low freon.

I see that in Canada.. Some of the marina's use 208 volt transformers and as soon as there is a load on it I see 197-199 volts on my panel. At that voltage my heating/cooling systems codes Lo A/C as to avoid browning out /burning out the system.

I'd try running it using the genny and see if that solves the issue. If so, it's your shore power being the issue.

I got that same message when I had a vapor lock and it wasn't priming. I think, like a low voltage situation, that message may indicate a fail-safe condition.

I received that message while running my AC off the generator. The generator was putting out less than 60hz which caused the unit to shut itself off. I'd lean towards checking the voltage from your shore power or what Jimmy said about testing it using the generator.

I just reread this thread realizing you said lo ac and not lo ps. Yes typically it is an electrical issue. If you have a meter check the voltage at the power box on the dock. Many marinas have commercial power which can be 208v instead of 230 so try another line on the power pole. If wires correctly it could be in a separate phase and work perfectly. This error occurs when the voltage is below 200V for 3+ minutes, see link to troubleshooting guide below.
