Posting to modification section a query already posted in hopes of finding some owners who have tackled a similar issue... I am exploring removal of the the seat cushion bolsters in the V-berth to enlarge the sleeping area. I would like to be able to return the area to factory look upon resale or when sleeping is not an issue. I have taken the bolsters out and determined that I could use a spring loaded latch to make the side bolsters easier to remove and store on the board in the midship cabin though the curved piece farthest forward is really too big to remove and store on the water.

Trying to find anyone who has so modified their V-berth. I will be meeting with a marine upholsterer soon to explore some options.

So true. I wish I could just blithely purchase a bigger boat, but alas, I must see what I can do with what I have now. I am thinking that there may be some other folk who have faced similar challenges given our stature.

Sorry if I violated protocol in posting in this different section. I am new to this club and thought that perhaps posting in another section would generate some discussion! Still learning about this great resource!

No problem... as it turns out, most of the veterans here look at "New Posts" which includes all sections.
