This is my first season boating with my "new" 2008 310 DA. I previously owned a 260 DA. When I owned my old boat, after getting on plane, I would trim up my engines a fair amount and got a smooth engine noise. With my 310 after I get on plane, if I trim up my engine the slightest bit, my engines rev and groan. I've been leaving the engine trim fully down and it sounds fine. Is this everyone's experience?
What am I doing wrong? The trim tabs are set well and the boat is running pretty level.

I have a 300 and I have to run with them down ,this boat is twice the weight of my 2455 I used to own and that one I could trim more but I also could run faster It is probably the weight. I am trying some new props soon because the stock 3 blade just don't do the job.

FYI, with my trim tabs down (no trim) I can raise my drives and pick up speed and engines rum smoother. Perhaps try again with the tabs off.
