94 Sundancer 290 having issues with sync. May be just bad sync gauge. Right now showing engines in sync but port engine shows 3000 rpm and starboard shows about 2200.

Don't trust the sync gauge!

The one in my 94 330, never read right, it packed up after 6 months.

I finally bought a new one and replaced it.........that one has lasted 9 months, exactly the same issue, the needle came adrift! Oh and it's a different brand.

You should be able to listen to the engines, if they are not synced it will be a throb, you may also feel the vibration coming through, the boat may also lean or torque steer if they are not synched

Thanks IB that's my thoughts, I can listen and it is pretty close to the RPM gauges matching. Must be common gauge issue including both my trim gauges don't work either

You may want to get behind the dash, and check all your gauge earth connections
