I will have to strongly agree with Jon, I used Reno for for my survey, when I purchased our boat in SC. He is very professional, thorough & really knows boats and engines. He also has been reliable for questions after the purchase.

My buyer is using Reno (at my recommendation) to survey my boat. Everyone talks highly of him so that's who I had planned on using whenever I found my next boat. I'll let you know my opinion in a few weeks. Hopefully I didn't shoot myself in the foot :smt021

Thanks everyone. Has anyone had experience with Mike? He is very close so the convenience is appealing.

I wouldn't settle because he is close, you have three different people referring Reno.

Reno was fantastic. He did the systems and structural survey. He took over 7 pages of notes, offered opinions and feedback during the survey and helped in any way he could. He found repairs that more than paid for his survey, and offered a final opinion on the overall quality of the boat. Mike Boss did a great job as well inspecting both engines, finding even the smallest of issues, and really justifiying the survey. I would never buy a boat again without this process. I would absolutely recommend both guys.
