Purchasing a 1998 Sea Ray 310 Sundancer with twin 5.7 Bravo III, during the sea trial we found the engines would start normally, as soon as you shift into forward or reverse - either engine will stall intermittently.

The marina has been looking at it, but can’t seem to find the cause.

Any suggestions?

Faulty Idle air control motors are common causes of stalling.

Also, Do bravo 3’s have an interrupt switch that activates momentarily when shifting gears?

The alpha’s have one. It cuts spark momentarily to lower the engine rpm and make shifting easier.

Thank you for your response, we will look into this.

Could be the TPS as well. Bravo's have no interrupt switch. You would want to start with a complete tune up to eliminate the simple wear items first. plugs, wires, and cap. Then move on.
