i had problems with my old maxwell windlass at the end of last season, and because of that and the fact that i wanted to be able to retrive chain as well as rope, i bought a new windlass. i installed it this weekend and double checked all connections and hit the switch and........nothing......
i do not have a switch at the helm for my configuration based on the way it was from the factory. all i have is the breaker in the engine room, the ones that look like a red button that pops out when they are tripped. this is the case now and i am assuming that is why i am not getting power up at the bow.
my problem/question is how do i reset that breaker, and yes ive tried pushing it back in, it doesnt move at all, but is definitley sticking out past where the breakers that are working are at..
is there something internal of the breaker box itself...do i need a new one

has anyone had a problem with these style breakers......????

do you mean like a household looking breaker that is mounted right into the wood support??
i to have that, and i might look like a idiot, but i had no idea what the heck that was even for
is yours the breaker for your windlass?
if not what is yours the breaker for?
