Engine ID Help please...

Can anyone help with this engine ID? I am having a hard time reconciling the engine serial # (B410390) to the boat.

Do you mean is it a 5.7L (350) Chev?

Is Merc's parts. But I'd give them a call because they don't support (online) anything prior to '98.

I know its a 260HP/5.7, 4bbl, but there are umpteen different models, all using differrent parts. I am just trying to get a handle on this engine, so I can order the correct parts as needed.

I was hoping for some kind of database that I could plug the engine serial # into. From what I have seen, the serial on THIS engine, doesn't match up to any of the tables I have seen online.

I think if you call them you can get their manual or they can direct you to the parts. They just don't have it online.

I use the attached site for parts on occasion and they have a search feature –based upon the serial # provided there are five engines models, two of which are 4bbl
