I have search and search and can not find the answer. How do you open and close the engine hatch after you've take out the battery's out for winterization?

Thanks,

If yours is set up like mine was on my 330, you have to be able to open that small access plate, reach in and pull the pin that connects the hydraulic ram to the hatch. Then it's a matter of prying up the hatch with a flat screwdriver. In your situation, where you're taking the batteries out for the winter, open the hatch, remove the pin, prop open the hatch with a 2x2 or something, lower the ram, then take out the batteries. Prop the hatch up just a tiny bit with something flat (magazine???) so it can't close all the way.

My batteries went dead once and I had a helluva time getting that pin out. After that incident, I kept it well oiled and attached a small line to the ring on the pin to make it easier to grab.

Or, you could buy a car battery jump pack with a cigar outlet. Make a double plugged cable, plug one end into a 12volt outlet on the boat and the other end to the jump pack. Then use your dash switch.

Please help!
after plugging in the adapter to by jumper box. I hit the hatch switch and nothing. I checked the hatch fuse and its fine. Need help

Obvious question, but needs to be asked. Did you turn on the accessory power switches/breakers, so that the power port is actually "live"? It won't work if the circuit is disconnected.
