Engine Compartment Soundproofing

My 210 Sundeck's upper engine compartment foam is completely gone and most of the side strip is too. What have you guys replaced yours with? Also, I don't any way to get all the glue off as it seems bonded to the fiberglass. Do you just clean it real good with a particular product and then apply the new foam?

I used acetone and stainless steel wool to remove the glue when I replaced the engine box insulation on my 225WE. I installed that thick foil/foam/barrier stuff and it’s much better than the original foam.

I bought some sound proofing from these guys to replace degraded 20 yr old stuff in my previous boat. Worked well and didn’t break the bank. They did offer several different options for sound reduction ( read options for different levels of $$$). You get what you pay for.
