I have a 2000 310DA. I have a bit of a mystery. All season long my engine blowers operated normally. A few weeks ago, after a day cruise that included some rain and 4 footers, the blowers stopped working. I have checked the breakers on the main panel and they are in. I opened up the switch panel and did find a wire off that went to the blower switch. After reattaching it, still nothing. IS there another fuse I am missing? The wiring diagram does not indicate that there is one. Would both blowers just quit like that?

the "easiest" way to diagnose your blower issue (depending on how easy it is to get to your blowers) is to see if you have power making its way out to the blowers (consumers) time to break out the test light or DVM

We have 2 It seems one had failed long ago and I did not know it. You may just have one working and now it has failed.

If you have an automatic fire suppression system then there is a blower controller that interfaces with the fire system's engine shutdown module. If there is a fire in the engine room and the fire retardant discharges then the blowers are disabled.

its a more complicated system than just a switch.....

On my 380 there is also a breaker panel in the engine room. Does a 310 have one there also? Mine was tripped and never knew there was a breaker for the blowers in the bilge.

This is all helpful. I will see if the blowers themselves have failed. There is a breaker on the main panne land it is in. Thanks.

So the marina technician found the problem. It turns out that there was a corroded wire connection under the helm console. Apparently there was moisture in the compartment that caused the corrosion. I am not sure how moisture got in the compartment.
