Engine Alarm

I, m getting an engine alarm on my starboard engine when i push the start button, once the engine starts the alarm go's off. Oil pressure is normal and it can't be engine temperature or transmission because it only happens on cold start. After starting and stopping a couple of times it goes away. Has anyone experienced this.

The alarm on all of our boats go off two (long beeps) until they are started. It's normal.

I also wait for the 2 beeps before starting, this alarm go,s off while your holding down the start button and the engine is cranking. Only happens on the starboard side.

But you say it goes out as soon as you start?

it does go off after the engine starts. It only sounds as you hold down the ignition switch. The port engine does not do this and it just started recently
