After installing some addition equipment, still no sure how the EIM/AFB are working together..

On my dash, have switch panel with several 'switches', one is ACCY

When checking the Wiring Schematic (Smart Craft Option), noticed that switch panel harness is linked with EIM. ( http://www.searay.com/boat_graphics/electronic_brochure/Company1729/1C1_23_74DEJAKQA64.pdf ) Page 47 - 48

The EIM Positive is arriving from the Main Cabine fuse, which is linked is battery switch. It seems that the AFB is directly linked with Positive from the same source. Which can be correct, as if battery switch is in off positon, my plotter, etc isn't working.

I noticed that the EIM is missing a Accessory fuse, but assume was never is use, as AFB directly powered.

Switched Accessory is protected with 3 Amp fuse, but unable to trace what is activated.

Above is a snapshot of Page 48, line 1 is Accessory (not fuse) and line 7 is Switched Accessory (activated by ACCY switch on dashboard)

Main question, what is the purpose of the ACCY switch on the dash

The ACCY switch is for add-on devices as you are thinking. The switch pad communicates with the EIM with a serial connection (3-4 wires).

Usually, the accessory wires are tucked into the wiring harness. I'm surprised that the fuse is not in place. Should be as simple as adding the fuse and finding the output wires in the bundle.

Thanks... Maybe is one size fits all and for 240DA not all options are used. Still no idea what is difference between Switch ACCY and ACCY.

Clear that line 1 and 7 are leading to ... nowhere, only showing fuse..
