Hi
I am having 2 electrical problems that always seem to happen at the same time so they must be on the same circuit. Intermittantly this problem occurs and it seems to usually happen after its been raining alot.. My roof has a couple of holes at this point and water can get to the switch panel when it rains heavy enough for long enough ... generally after an event like i explained above this issue can occur and goes away again once everything has been dry for awhile.
The fuel primer pump on my Starboard engine loses power along with the shutdown switch for my starboard engine. I have to go downstairs and shut of the engine manually. The roof is getting fixed now so this problem may disappear but i still would like to trace down this circuit and figure out what the cause may be just in case the problem is not happening because of the rain and its just a coincidence this event happens at the same time it rains usually.
What i wanted to ask everyone is any ideas on the best way to trace the problem? I am no whiz with a multimeter...it should not be that hard given i know which parts are affected and which switches cease to function ..just looking for some advice on how and what to test /check to figure out why no power is getting down to these devices at times and then is fine most of the time.
Thanks a ton in advance for any advice anyone may have!
