Hi Guys i own a 2005 36da and am still trying to figure out the boats electrical system and am new to the site, great site. here the question in the manual its says to de-energize the the main battery solenoids swithes ,i have a refegerator in the cockpit of my boat it only works when i leave the port switch energized,i leave on only when am plugged into my shore power, the refig was factory installed i thought it was 12vdc and ac but when i turn the solenoids off it goes off am worried that leaving it energized will create a problem any suggestins

If you are plugged into shore power....120VAC....then you need to turn on the proper AC Breaker in the main panel.....on my boat it is the Port Systems breaker.....for the cockpit fridge to work.

there is a label inside refrigerator that should tell you what kind of fridge you have: 12 volts only - likely, dual voltage: 12(24) volts /120 volts - also likely, 120 volt - unlikely. If your unit is 12 volt only - to keep it working you need to leave battery switch on and battery charger on. with dual voltage unit you could leave battery switch on, battery charger on and 120v breaker for your refrigerator on. in that case 120v has priority over 12 volts and refrigerator switches to 12v when is power outage to dock power

my bigger concern was leaving the port battery switch enegized ,i keep my charging system on i was just worried i was going to create a problem leaving it on .
