Electric schematic - 200 BR (its either a 1992 or 1993)

Anyone have a schematic for the 200 BR? (I can never remember if it's a 1992 or 1993).

Seems we're having trouble with the anchor light and the accessory plug.

I'd also like to see what fuse should be in which slot - I wonder if, over time, someone might have put the wrong size fuse in a slot (not had the correct on handy when a fuse went out).

I tried the Sea Ray website but didn't find anything except the owner's manual.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Can't help with the schematic, but:

Look at the aft, starboard corner of your boat - under the rubrail. You'll see your HIN #. It'll start with SER. The last two digits are the year of your boat.

You could hook up a DVM across the fuse - set it on AMPs. Start turning things on and see how much draw there is. Be careful if your DVM doesn't have a higher amp rating. But, it'll at least let you know what is covered by each fuse. Although you could figure out what is covered by each fuse simply by turning things on and then removing fuses one at a time.

What kind of trouble? Can you jump 12v right to the plug and light? That'll help to narrow down where the problem is.

I'd still like to get access to a schematic - just for reference.

I'm a co-owner on the boat and last night we were both able to make it to the lake. Luckily the other guy is a whiz at mechanical stuff. I'm qualified to hand him tools as he's working - LOL.

Happy to say that we fixed the immediate problems-

- appears the mechanic disconnected the radio and depth finder for no apparent reason and failed to reconnect them. That's now fixed.

- got the anchor light working, turned out to be blown bulb.

- the accessory plug looks to be fried - hopefully we can find one that will fit the whole without having to order it from Sea Ray (we don't have a local Sea Ray dealer).

Dennis, thanks for the suggestion on checking the fuses!

We have had trouble on and off - one time a wire that should not have been grounded was grounded. We had to tow the boat to the Sea Ray dealer 2+ hours away to find the problem (caused by a mechanic that did not know what he was doing when he added a float pump).

That's too bad you have to some "diagnostics" after it's already been looked at - and supposedly fixed. In the grand scheme of things, electrical work on an older, small boat is pretty straight forward. I'm sure you'll get it working!

The Acc Plug: It's not a Sea Ray specific part, so you shouldn't have any problems.
