Electric Hatch Actuator replacement

I replaced mine with the Warner linear units linked above... nearly a straight forward swap, but I needed to get some stainless steel extension sleeves as the diameter of the actuator is just a few mm bigger.... Any stainless Shop can provide this.

They work much better and sound very comfortable lifting the hatch.

The actuator on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Warner-Linea...003XT6B2G/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 that others are reporting to be using does state to be ignition protected. Can someone confirm?

Update: I checked with the manufacturer and the actuator listed on Amazon is not rated for marine use. The model number for marine is K2G20-12VM-BR-18, has ignition protection, cost is $626.69 each and has a lead time of 24 weeks.

I have a diesel, so no idea if ignition protected. They work. Your other opportunity is to contact Shelley for the OEM ones.

I didn't buy it yet -- just bookmarked the link :D

Would love an OEM for $400

The OEM for SR was this company. Shelley was very difficult for me to get a hold of, but she sold me 2 foe my 420DA. I bought 2-from Amazon because I had to have them quick. The OEM ones were night and day better than the ones from Amazon…..here is the info for you to contact her….

Great -- thank you! Mine works but sometimes will stop a couple times part way down. I have a feeling it's on the way out and I should do something about it now

She is the one you have to talk to and she can be harder than hell to get her to respond. I left voice mails and emails relentlessly and it took a week or two before she contacted me. Once she did, smooth sailing… actually bought them in the spring of 2021 and just installed them a couple months ago. I believe shipped to me they were like $750 or so. No clue what they might cost now, but certainly not $800 for one….

Blueone is actually who turned me on to her…..

Hi
Any new contacts to get those actuators? Shelly's emails are bouncing back, probably left the job :(

I just replaced mine (2006 / 340) with 2 new from Prince William Marine in Virginia. Marina brole one when removing an engine when doing transoms. Not cheap. The marina replaced mine though.
