Have several eisenglass snaps in our windshield on our 460 that appear to have snapped off with the rivet inside. Is there a tool to remove/replace the rivets that are installed inside the windshield? For clarification, they used to be the male side of the snap that is now just a flat spot with no male part anymore.

These are more than likely "flangeless studs" and they are riveted onto the frame. If the old rivet is there it will need to be drill out or pushed in. Before doing anything make sure there is plenty of clearance from the glass.

If you do not want to go the drilling route you may be able to get away with using a few "Snads". These are from YKK and have the stud on an adhesive backed pad.

Let me know if you have any questions and we also stock these if you need any of them.

Hi Kevin,

if we were to drill them, how would be re-attach the new ones?

We may go the route of the SNADS if they seem to hold up ? How can I purchase? I may try that route first and see how it goes.
