What is pitting my new-ish eisenglass?
I have some one year old eisenglass in the front of out 280 that is getting pitted just like the old ones we replaced. We keep our boat in the slip in the water (salt) all the time. I use Plexis on it, but is seems to be decaying.
I have used the Plexis, Novis polish, Mothers plastic and power ball... But I cant get rid of the pitting that is left over The spots are small about 1/16 to 1/8 inch. What is doing this? Is it chemicals from the planes above? Salt air? Maybe something growing maybe barnacles?
What is it, then how do I get rid of it?
Thank You,
Rich
