My entire EIM electrical system shorted out April 2019. The current system has been discontinued by Sea Ray and they were unable to offer a solution. They advised something was in the works but unavailable. After doing research I learned this possible new system will be another electrical system similar to the system that just failed. I researched other possible solutions and came across an after market system developed and manufactured by FP Marine. This new system uses traditional toggles and switches and all components can be replaced if a failure. This is unlike the current system that just fails and needs to be replaced. I ordered the system for my 280 Sundancer online. I was contacted by FP Marine and they advised they have never installed the system on a 280 Sundancer and they would like to install the system on my boat and record it for their installation instructional video. You can see the instructional video on YouTube. The system looks like original equipment and is much easier to use than the original system trying to see the little lights on the touchpads. The system works perfectly and I like the fact that if anything ever goes wrong it can be easily serviced. In my opinion this is the best possible solution if you encounter a common EIM failure.

Thanks for the info. Do you have a link to the video?

This is possibly it?

What kind of horse crap system did sea ray use that a short causes this kind of replacement?
