Bummer. No Volcanos or earthquakes in Chicago land.

People are freaking crazy.

Well I survived up north of Detroit. It was basically dusk. Dark enough for my outside yard lights to turn on. And yes the temp dropped enough to notice it. My dog didn't know what to make of it. He kept looking at me, acting sort of nervous. Now he's all back to normal.

My cats saw it and decided it was time for a nap. Can I show you my shocked face?

I was in a biker bar….. it’s always 98% totality since Covid. You don’t want to see the waitresses in bikinis these days …. Good help is hard to find

Was up in Brewerton today so I got to see the eclipse from there. Traffic on 81 south was like nothing I have ever seen before. Literally 100 miles bumper to bumper. Nuts. Got some cool pics though.

Went to Andover, Ohio today to see it. Got lucky. Drove our Mustang and took back roads. No traffic there or back. Definitely got cooler and maybe 95% darkness. Crickets started chirping and bugs came out right when it started getting dark. There was a guy there fishing and for the 2 or 3 hours we were there no fish. As soon as it got to almost total darkness he caught one. Probably coincidence but he was excited about it.
