I recently have purchased a used 215 EC. I have several manuals, but none that include info for the fresh water hold or the porta pottie. I see the waste cap on the side and the fresh water fill in the floor going into the cabin. My question is does the fresh water cap just unscrew? I tried, but it seems really tight. How does the fresh water system work? Do you just dump water into it? 2) I understand that the porta pottie can be dumped manually or have it sucked out for a fee. I assume they just stick a hose down the small waste line on the side and suck it out? How does the porta potti diosconnect for a manual dump?

I have the same boat. The porta potty can't be removed for dumping. You have to go to a marina , or pump out station to get it emptied. If you buy fuel, theres no problem, but if you don't, you get dirty looks, but a $10 tip usually brings the smile back. I think they have to provide that service, NOT SURE, so don't flame me:smt021 . As for the fresh water floor cap, it's kinda funky the first few times. You have to turn it counter clockwise, but don't push down, because of the very steep thread pitch, the cap has to be able to come up as you turn.
I bought one of those minature keroseen pumps. The one' s with the plastic bowl you squeeze, and I just pump my tank out myself, into a 5 gallon jug. Rubber gloves , and extreem care, to not spill a drop, and then I don,t have to deal with it on the water ( I trailer my boat)Eventually, i want to install a macerator pump, and a thru hull. You just have to be able to get out far enough to dump it legally.

Oh yeah, for the fresh water system, after you fill the tank, you turn the switch on, on the dash panel, that looks like a rectangle with a squiggly line through it.You should here the pump come on momentarily, until it builds up pressure, then shut off.Don't be surprised if it doesn't work. The pressure switches fail routinely on these pumps. The latest shureflo pump I bought last year seems to work better. They redesigned it.The pump is under the floor and really easy to change. That feeds the cabin sink and the transom shower.I really like having it work, because we go in the salt alot, and we're more comforatable after rinsing off.If you do end up replacing it, make sure to get one of those small inline water filters that screw right in the inlet side ( cheap insurance).Enjoy your boat, I love mine, I think the 215 EC is one of the biggest " little' boats out there.

I have a porta-pottie that has the pump out plumbing. I don't use it though, in fact, I just capped the pumpout fitting, but I still use the vent hose. I manually remove it and dump it out in a toilet at the Marina. I refuse to pay $7 to pump out a gallon or 2 of waste.
