Ebay Sea Ray

There are several 280s on Boat Trader of the same year priced in a similar range as this one. But it still could be a good deal if the boat is in top condition because there are also others on Boat Trader priced a lot higher as well.

Where do you see corroded Bravo111's? The bottom gear looks pristine.

Price is good. Assume it is a salt water boat.

Also, boats on websites have 'asking price' listed. This $65K is a minimum selling price.

This spring a clone of this boat went for $69 up here and was fresh water only. Keep in mind this was spring so take off $4K-$5K since its late fall 2006 now.

Those that are asking $20K more for a loaded '02 280DAT are ASKING not GETTING.

This boat should sell at this price. However they are not giving it away too cheap.

Take a look at the port side drive skeg ... typical B3 galvanic corrosion .This will fast get worse if not fixed.

That outdrive corrosion pretty bad for a boat that appears not to have been kept in the water (no bottom paint.) I kept my previous boat in the water and it had Bravo 3's. I would pull it twice a year just to inspect the outdrives. They would always have corrosion which would get sanded and painted with outdrive anti-fouling paint. I also had the extra mercathodes installed and I kept it in fresh water. Still, always corrosion. Looked a lot like that boat for sale. I'm so glad I've got inboards now. I wouldn't get a boat with outdrives unless it were going to be stored on a lift or trailer.

DITTO !!!!

I'm not sure that's corrosion Alex, looks like maybe he ran over a sand bar or something and the paint scrapped off. The rest of it looks too clean to have that much corrosion in that one area. I could be wrong.

I would bet on corrosion ... you can even see it around the base of the prop on the bearing carrier.Typical for B3s!
